Fifty-three (53) participants that is fifty (50) pupils and three (3) teachers participated in this study as a sample. Findings show that pupils were not active in oral lessons. Teachers still use individual verbal response most of the time and do not use other techniques such as pair work, free conversation, group work. From the teachers' point of view, it was found that pair work and group work techniques help the pupils to express themselves freely and fully in small groups and the teacher assists them in the development of reasoning critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Therefore, the results have shown that pair work and group work are the appropriate techniques for enhancing learners' language use classroom oral participation which in turn affects learners' oral communicative competence. Finally, a number of recommendations were formulated to the ministry of Education, the teachers and the learners to see it that appropriate technics are used to develop the learners' oral expression in English.
