RÉSUME,

Teaching and learning English vocabulary in First form classes of Post-Basic School is not an casy task for both teachers and learners, specially the later because they have different background. It requires motivation and adequate method to achieve that goal. To achieve this goal, the present work was conducted in Makamba commune. It is concerned with the contribution of songs to learning of vocabulary as learns of first year have a lack of sufficient vocabulary and this work intends to verify or not if songs when associated with text can develop vocabulary to first year learners. after classroom observations and testing, data presentation analysis and findings relevant suggestions to how English songs contribute in learning English vocabulary in first form were formulated.
