Résumé,

This work deals with the assessment of the impact of teachers' qualification on the English learning process of young learners in basic schools.it therefore attempts to analyses the relationships between teachers' acquisition and the linguistic level of learners and suggests what can be done by all the concerned to take up the challenge. It is structured around six main points. The first point is the purpose for which this work is conducted. In fact, the raison d'être of this work is to compare the impact of English teachers' qualification on the learning process in Matongo and Muha communes in particular and in the Burundian educational system in general and to provide strategies than can be adopted to solve the problem.
Four research questions related to this impact of teachers' qualification on the learning process have been formulated to facilitate the completion of this work.
The third point discloses methods and techniques used to carry out this study and it explains reasons for each choice.
According to data collected, qualified teachers are found in well-organized private schools and no one has been found in public schools. The other realization is that there is no teaching materials available in public schools and well organized private schools have adopted English teaching programs of other countries.
Though Teachers of basic schools can be divided into three categories which are no-motivated non-qualified teachers, motivated non-qualified teachers and qualified teachers.

According to the environment in their classes ; we concluded that the qualification of a teacher has a great impact on the students learning process.
The last points are general conclusion and recommendations to the concerned that will lead to successful English learning process in the basic school.
