RESUME,

This study explored the strategies used by Junior Basic School Teachers to improve Learners' Prodyctive Skills.The study aimed at investigating the strategies used by those teachers so as to get theirlearners improve English productive skills, and to propose strategic techniques to be implemented for the promotion of the smooth learning in this skills. To carry out the study, regarding the methodology used; two instruments were used to colled the data: teachers' and learners' questionnaires and classroom observation. The data collected were analyzes quallitatively and quantitatively. The findings highlighted that the lack of learners' fluency in English productive skills was brought about by the adoption of ill- *adapted teaching strategies( lack of fritful strategies). In addition, learners' lack of fluency was due to other factors such as, lack of appropriate and sufficient teaching materials, large classes, time constraints to practice English ^productive skills and inadequate tearchers' academic qualifications for English teaching, lack of motivating activities,inadequate teaching approaches and methods. Finally, the findings highlighted suggested strategic activities and techniques to be dealt with by English teachers in order to get their learners improve English productive skills. Last, useful recommendations to take into consideration for improvement of learners' English productive skills in Basic School were put forward. Therefore, the findings highlighted the key straregies to be used in Basic School in the teaching-learning of English productive skils in order to help learners to effevtively improve English productive skills.
