Résumé,<br/><br/>This work entitled : "impact of the lack of qualified teachers and teaching materials on learners' oral performance in English as a foreign language in private schools in Bujumbura", the case of 1st section, aims at showing the relationship between teachers' qualification and the quality of learning of students.<br/><br/>The hypotheses in this work are that the qualification of teachers contributes to the quality of learning of students in English, qualified teachers use more appropriate methods than non-qualified ones in teaching English in secondary schools, and that the lack of teaching materials does not facilitate a good learning of English language. Two types of questionnaire we used. One was designed for first form arts students and another for their English teachers. <br/>After ther analysis of the collected data, I found that the quality of learning depends upon their teachers' qualification. Also, I observed that the lack of teaching materials does not facilitate a good learning of English language in secondary schools. In addition, I noted that qualified teachers handle well their teaching comparing to non-qualified ones.<br/> |
