Résumé,
This study aims at investigating and examining the message conveyed through selected rundi tales and how this message contributes to shaping the behavior of the members of the Burundi society.
Therefore, this study focuses on the need to promote cultural and moral values, and revive interest in tales as a genre of literature. It brings to the light different rundi tales as well as showing how they were performed and propagated from generation to generation.
This study shows that tales functions as tools that teach and transmit cultural and moral values.
It investigates cultural elements in the tales of Burundi and demonstrates that this could be useful to the Burundi education system as it endeavors to en root learners in their culture and open them to traditional Burundi vision of the world.
We therefore hope that our readers will benefit from these cultural and moral values to enrich their daily interactions.
