This work examines male dominations and female subordination in tennesse williams a streetcar Desire.It proceeds to explore the female situation in downtown americansociety.It generally aims at analyzing the conflict of gender in a male -dominated society and shows how a woman's transgression of the existing norms or hegermonies of partriarchy contrains her way to salvation.
It examines tennessee's depiction of a woman in relation to men and society.It generally aims at analyzing the conflict of gender in a male-dominated society and shows how a woman's transgression of the existing norms or hegemonies of patriarchy contrains her way to salvation.
It examines Tannessees'depiction of a woman in relation to men and society.This study clarifies Tenessee william's view of women and shows that the gender tensions existing in his perspective are caused by stercotypical patriarchy chat sets social constructs to oppress and discriminate against women.That oppression and discrimination leave an indelible and harmful mark on awoman's life.This work is written against the feminist approach which huighlights that gender is not biological but a social construct.It is a gender-based approach which arises from the civil rights movement with the objective of awakening the conciousness of women on equality.This work concludes that gender discrimination leaves an indelible and harmful mark on a woman.
