Résumé,

This study investigated the English teachers' perception of English Language learning at post basic schools as essential contributors for improving the learning of English in the current educational system.

The purpose of this work was to test three hypotheses such as : English teachers are not satisfied with the manner the first year students of Language Section learn English. First year students of the Languages Section are hindered by some effective, material and environment factors in the English learning process. To collect the data, the researcher randomly selected a sample composed of thirty teachers of English subject from some communes of Gitega Province who teach English in languages section, first year classes of post basic level. Those data were quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed. In the light of the research findings, English teachers have a negative perception towards English language learning at post basic school, due to low performance conveyed bay languages section first year learners. It has been demonstrated then the lack of English teachers' satisfaction towards English language learning in Burundi post basic schools.

Also, students of languages section post basic schools are nowadays facing enormous inadequacies caused by some parameters related to the curriculum content, students' attitude, materials and schools' environment ; which should be ended up for a free English language learning at school.
