RESUME,

This work examines professional ethics and societal prossures to corruption as depicted by armah in the beautyful ones are not yet born.It attempts to analyse the ethics that should guide Koomson and the man in the exercise and performance of their duties to the society. This is done by examing the implicit questioning of the professions and behaviours of the same characters as they interact with others. It also examines to what level the characters as they interact with others. It also examines to that level the characters in the novel under study abide by or break moral roles as a result of pressures exerted by the society to influence people into unethical and immoral dealings are tackled. This work is based on the hypothetical assumption that most characters in the Beautyful ones are not yet born violate professional ethics and give in to corruption as a result of societal pressure. This work suggests that the respect of ptofessional ehics would maintain a decent working atmosphere that would profit all members of the society.
