RÉSUME,


This study was entitled " The Impact of Lack of Teaching Materials ans of Qualified Teachers on Students' English Perfomance: Case of 9th Form Classes in Selected of Bisoro commune in Mwaro Province". It aimed to identify the impact of the lack of teaching materials, qualified teachers and school environment on students' English performance. A number of factors were raised and the reseaecher lay more emphasis on the teacher materials for teaching/learning process, the effect of teachers' qualification and of the school environment on the students' performance in English Language. A smple of 120 learners and 12 teachers of the 12 schools of Bisoro Commune in Mxaro Province was used. Two types of instruments were used in this study: classroom observation and questionnaires. The data collected were analysed and the following was revealed that the lack of teaching materials and of qualified teachers have a significant effect on students' performance en English language but also the school environment has also an effect on students' English performance. The resultsrevealed that school lacked teaching materials and qualified teachers in the selected schools which affected teching/learning activities. Inorder to improve the students' perfomance in English language, suggestions were formulated and addressed different educational partnersincuding the Government, teachers, learners, parents and future researchers.
