Résumé,

This study on "Problems encountered in teaching English writing skill at Lycée Bukinga. Case study of 2nd F.A., 2nd T.T.S and 2nd Sc B." was my favorite work.
In fact, English writing skill is badly taught and pupils fail in it.
I therefore researched on it because I wanted to improve techniques and materials used to teach. First of all, I chose this study because most teachers I met in secondary school were not interested in English writing skill.

Not only teachers but also pupils neglected it. This was observed when we were given composition as homework. Instead of doing it ourselves, we tried to get a help. It was also this way of not putting emphasis on it as other skills whereas it is very important in life. Moreover, my choice was motivated by the fact that our country is now a member of EAC where English is widely used. The research was carried out at Lycée Bukinga mainly in three classes : 2nd FA,2nd TTS and 2nd Sc B. It was concerned with a study of how writing skill is taught and if there were available materials to teach it. I wanted also to know whether or not pupils were satisfied with it. During this process, two teachers and sxty pupils were asked some questions to verify really if writing skill was taught.
At the end, I came up with the conclusion that English writing was taught but in inappropriate way.

Teachers did not take time to teach it. In addition, they did not use appropriate materials and also pupils were not interested in it and failed.
