RESUME,

As far as the speaking skill in medical secondary schools is concerned,this researcher sets out to find how to develop the speaking skill in english skill in English general and on learners' effective speaking in particular.our study will focus on problems encountered by pupils in Burundi medical secondary schools during the process of teaching /learning English at school.Once the problems are identified ,we will suggest various strategies which may be helphul to overcome those problems.Our main concern is to assess whether English language teachers make use of appropriate materials and methods as a remedy to communicate successfully.The researcher will use a questionnaire but also classroom observations as research instruments to collect the data.The data collect will be processed ,analyzed and interpreted quantitatively.After the analysis,the researcher will discover whether or not teachers of Medical secondary schools give a peominent place the speaking skill teaching and some practical recommendations will be formulated to all education stakeholders.
