RESUME,
This study examines the paramount role of a mother in Burundian society.It emphasizes her role as a child nurser and nurturer.It stresses the struggle that the latter faces when raising children.It stresses the struggle that the latter faces when raising children.It emphasizes the possible mather's challenges to make children safe.It states the children's role in the society.This work is written under sociological approach.This approach arises from the basic premise that nobody lives a completed isolated existence.Each of us is a product of biological,intellectual,emotional and spiritual influences.This work finds out that a mother is the central figure in the education of children.It shows how some fathers do not take part in raising children and the results from this father's irresponsability.It states how mathers can fail to protect their children againest heavy distrubances and goes on strating that the child.It also shows that there is the reciprocal relation between children are victims of fathers'carelessness.Il concludes by strassing how fathers' involvement in raising children can improve the education of the latter.
