The reseacher had an intention of seeing the reasons behind the professionnal nurses'failure, after being trained by an English teaching center called Fight to win for two years. This study was based on three research hypotheses which were:Professional nurses do not exchange with their peers in English during break time or work time, professional nurses fel ashamed to speak English due to negative social attitude and last, professional nurses'physical environment is not favorable to spoken English. The work was conducted in four public hospitals in Bujumbura municipality, which is Prince Regent Charles Hospital,Clinic Prince Louis Rwagasore Hospital,Military Hospital and King Khaled Hospital.

A naturel observation was made.Besides, students and teacher'questionnaires were administrates to both learners and their teachers. After analyzing them, the were out of classroom, because they did not get persons with whom they could exchange in English language. Many of them did not prefer English when they were together with their freinds besides, the analysis revealed that professional nurses were not likely to get opportunities to speak in English. The second main finding was that professional bore in mind that they can be laughed at when speaking English in the public. They had negative mindset and this pushed them not to dare to speak. In the last position professional nurses did not get facilities to go in the libraries to read, listen to the English program because those opportunities did not exist in their vicinities. In few words according to the analyss, professional nurses 'physical milieus were not conductive to Englishspeaking.
