This study investigated the different vieuws of teachers and learners about the teaching and learnings of English grammar.
The study was guided by the topic: "Teachers and learners' appraisal of the english grammar programme in basic schools case of seventh grades of selected schools in Gishubi commune". To collect the data,to questionnaire were used.Thirteen teachers and two hundred forty eight learners were involved.The results were displayed in tables and quantitatively analysed.The frequencies of responses were expressed in terms of percentages. Findings show that teachers and learners have interest in English language and particularly in grammar. It was revealed that teachers are very critical about their training,the pupils' performance in English grammar and the grammatical items designed for the Seventh Grade.
