RESUME,
This work entitled"The Portrayal of God in the book of genesis and the book of job" examines the image and characterization of god as presented in these books.The work aims at analyzing the positive image of God and the positive image attributed to God in the book of Genesis and the book of job,these books portray God as weak and wicked .Foregrounded on formalism which regards literature as a unique form of human knowledge that needs to be examined on its own terms without taking into account who wrote,that their past is,and what was prevailing when they wrote,this work concludes that the Book of Genesis and the book of job present not only positive qualities of God,but also negative qualities which are disadvantageous to man.
