RESUME,

This study entitled PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY NON6QUALIFIED ENGLISH TEACHERS IN TEACHING SPEAKING SKILL AT SOME PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN MUKIKE COMMUNE :CASE OF GRADE SIX aims at identifying the problems which non qualified teachers of English encounter while teaching speaking skill.In fact,it is realized that the improvement of spoken English as a foreign language depends on the ability to teach English Which requires teachers who are qualified in English language and the appropriate teaching materials.However,teachers of spoken English language and the appropriate teaching materials.However,teachers of spoken English in primary schools are the products of the francophone system and they are not qualified to teach English appropriately.
In carrying out our research,some procedures were used:data were collected on the basis of classroom observations which were made in different sixth grade three classes where this study was conducted.In addition,pupils' and teachers' questionnaires were administered to pupils and teachers' questionnaires were administered to pupils and teachers in the sixth grade classes.We also used proof to testify how the lack of qualification by English teachers affects the way they speak.The sampling method which was used in the simple random sampling one.
At the end of the research,the results reveal the following main problems:teachers are not equipped with materials which enable them to assess their learners' performance.Additionally,they are not qualified and consequently,they do not use appropriate methods in teaching speaking skill.
