The present study is entitled: "Factors contributing to the people's lack of english oral fluency after their school education: case of some members of medical staff in makamba and Mabanda communes". It was carried out with the help of the nurses working in Mkamba and mabanda communes and who served as the population for the research.
Generally, many people lose their oral fluency in English language when they are no longer students.
Therefore, this study sought to find out whether the knowledge in English the nurses get at school is enough to enable them to communicate easily after their studies; to what extent the nurses use English in their everyday life and the obstacles which hinder the nurses' speaking performance in the post- learning period of English language.
Aquestionnaire was distributed to the nurses in order to investigate why they become less orally fluent in English language after their studies. After having collected and analyzed the data,we found out that the nurses lose their oral fluency in English because they end their studies without having sufficient knowledge in English and that they rarely use English in their everyday life.

Moreover, some factors such as :the socio-linguistic environment, the mother tongue and the second language (French in this case),the negative attitude towards English language, the lack of self-esteem and the lack of motivation constitute the obstacles to the oral fluency on the part of nurses.Consequently, some recommandations were directed to different actors who can contribute to the develpment of English oral skill during and after one's studies.
