Résumé,
This work is an atempt to examine the portrayal human life in Sephen Crane's "The Blue Hotel" and " The Open Boat". it shows how the author reveals his deterministic vision of life, the picture of the universe and people living in it. Written under psychoanalytical approach, this work seeks to demonstrate the influence of nature on man's life in the course of his existence. It settles on conclusion hat environment and hereditary instincts influence human action and calls people, no matter how powrful instincts may appear, to try to dominate them so as to plan for their better way of acting.
