Résumé,
This work "Evaluation of the Classroom Interaction in the Enhancement of the Speaking Skill" sough to evaluate the effect of classroom interaction in the development of students' speaking skill. It set out to determine whether classroom interaction is the appropriate technique to activate students' speaking abilities.
The work is subdivided into five main chapters.
The first chapter "General Introduction", states the problem, reveals the purpose of the study, motivation, and states the research questions. Also, some key terms useful for the work are defined.
In the second chapter "Literature Review", we make a review of what other researchers have written in relation to classroom interaction and speaking skill.
Our focus was the role of classroom interaction in the enhancement of the speaking skill, types of interactive methods or fluency-based activites that are involved in the development of the speaking skill, and the impact of other skills in relation to the speaking skill. Concerning the third chapter "Methodology", the sampling techniques and instruments used to collect the data are presented. IN fact,classroom observation, students and teachers' questionnaire, as well as students' interview were used in this work. The fourth chapter "Data Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of Findings", is the core of the study.
We made the analysis of the data collected through classroom observation, students and teachers' questionnaire. The las Chapter "General Conclusion and Recommendations" summarizes the whole work, reminds the reader how the research questions have been answered and provides recommendations to course Designers, English Teachers, Students, and Future Researchers.
