Résumé,

This work deals with the jargons spoken by the pupils of Matana and Rubanga Lycees during the 2013 - 2014 School Year. The aim is to collect the words and expressions used in the Matana and Rubanga pupils' jargons and analyse them sociolinguistically.

This work is subdived into five chapters. The first is subdived into five chapters. The first is the General Introduction to the whole work and comprises the description of the both Lycees- Matama and Rubanga, the statement of the problem, the purpose of the study, the research questions, the research hypotheses, the importance of the study and motivation.

The second is Literature Review and copes with the views of various writers so as to get a real picture of the language and society. The third is Methodology and discusses the population from which the data are collected, the sampling methods, the data collection techniques as well as how the data are analysed. The fourth chapter shows the data collected through various techniques , their analysis at different aspects and the findings.

The fifth and the last chapter is the conclusion which summarizes the whole work. The recommendations made appear in this chapiter. This work shows that the jargons of the pupils at Matana and Rubanga Lycees are systems that must be undestood in their contexts.
