Résumé,

The main concern of this study : "The Influence of the English Speaking Hotel and Restaurant Customers on the Staff Performance in English; A Study Conducted in selected Hotels and Restaurants in Bujumbura City " is to show how English speaking constomers in hotel and restaurant contribute to promote English language among hotel and restaurant staff members and its wide spreading. It is obvious that in Bujumbura people are more willing to learn English especially the hotel and restaurant employees because of their permanent stay wth the English speaking guests.

They realise that English has become a global and business language. The researcher used a face-to-face contact as well as a written questionnaire to both employees and managers. In this perspective, he wished to confirm or reject the value of his work by the end. After a careful analysis and interpretation of the data, the researcher came up with the following findings : English speaking hotel and restaurant customers contribute more for the English language performance to hotel and restaurant staff members and facilitate its expansion in Bujumbura. Thus, future researchers, educationalists will find this study worth and full of information.
