Résume,

his work examines Nonconformity n Black Boy by Richard Wright. It shows that someone can challenge the belief of the majority. It emphasizes the idea that what the majority widely urges people to conform to, might mot always be he likes of all people; it highlights that the individual can choose not to belong to such views. The call to conform to the values, practices, beliefs of our families and to the practices of the insiutions that are in our communities is an over generalized concept for many societies. When someone choses to behave in a different wav he is not understood but when he believes n his proper opinions that attitude can lead him to a great achievement as it is the case in Black Boy. In this context this studt s based on the hypothesis that conformity can be challenged. In some cases conformity forces us to do things we deeply hate and as consequence become slaves of hem. In order to remain ourselves this work calls us to behave according to what we believe to be true, and avoid to conform to what we judge meanngless. It furthermore exhorts us to trust ourselves and behave as change makers.
