Résumé,
This work shows how mystery works in the whole story. It reveals how james presents the setting and characterisation of what is my sterious. The ghosts in the story are seen prowling the area. Characters in the story are in the uncontrollable situation in which they lose their moral standing .
Human being's mind is disturbed and as consequence he or she disturbs others. The intention of this study is to show how James's vision is to entertain people as a way of helping them to ask questions of the inexplicable and to know that most of our fear comes from the universe itself. The approach used in this study is the psychological and psychoanalytic approach.
It determines that the unconscious influences most of the mankind's way of doing, feeling and saying as it is demonstrated in Hery James' The Turn of the Screw.
