Résumé

The title of this work is "An Assessment of the Use of the Techniques of class Interaction in Teaching the Speaking Skill in the English Language : Case of Fourth Form in Selected Schools of Makamba province. " It aimed mainly at assessing the use of the techniques of class interaction and discovering how it affects positively the speaking skill in the English language. Moreover, the present study had to answer four questions about the techniques used, that is, whether or not they are worth improving students' ability to express freely and meaningfully, the kind of activities set for that end. Also important through this work was to answer to a question whether or not teachers of 4th Form classes apply class interaction while teaching English, and finally if their qualification contributes to successfully improve the speaking skill. To collect data, two kinds of instruments were used : a questionnaire and classroom observation. The data collected were put together, analysed and interpreted. After the analysis of the data collected from the field, findings proved the research hypotheses. to find a solution to the identified problem, that is the learners' deficiency in oral expression, some recommendation were put forward to different partners who are mostly concerned by this problem.
