RESUME

The current work is divided into five chapters, the aforementioned study aims at improving English aural-oral skills in Pre-service teacher training schools case of "Lycée Pédagogique II" pupils. The work is divided into five mains chapters which are in turn subdivided into sections and subsections. It aims at analyzing the way to improse English aural - oral skills in teacher training schools the case of Lycee Pédagogique II pupils in Gitega Province. It confirms that the time allocated to English course is very short, and this does not allow English teachers to give listening and speaking exercise. In fact, it is not easy for teachers to give their lessons and find a time for practicing what they have taught. It shows that the Aural-oral skills are helpful in teaching process since it has been demonstrated that "Lycée Pédagogique" pupils know little about aural-oral skills. To address this issue, teachers need to emphasize more in order to explain well to pupils new vocabulary or other structures. They also need to listen to their pupils in order to identify their different problems and try to help them. The present study recommends to teachers to organise much more activities of aural-oral skills in order to help pupils to perform in them. They should also organise free discussions in class to give pupils apportunity to speak English. The teaching the four language skills which are writing, listening, speaking and reading in integrated skills lessons should also be of an added value.
