This study sets out to investigate on the impact of teaching English in 7th form large classes. Its main objective is to see whether or not; large classes are the handicaps to the efficient teaching of English. It seeks to investigate if 7the form teachers use appropriate technique to be used in large classes. It also seeks to investigate if 7th form classes have sufficient materials. The researcher used written questionnaires addressed to teachers and pupils and classroom observation as the research instruments. The collected data have been analysed and interpreted quantitatively. The findings have shown that 7th form classes do not have sufficient materials and teachers do not vary techniques when teaching. This situation leads to the poor performance in that language. Some recommendations for improvement are put forward to all the concerned in education in order to sort the problems out. It is believed that researchers, teachers, pupils and the Govenment will find this work very useful to them.
