To succeed in any course of action, requires a specific motivation. Success in foreign language learning is more influenced by the way students are motivated.
The aim of this work is to show the growing popularity of the English language generally in Burundi and in the Ministry to the Presidency in Charge of East African Community affairs, it to focuses on the impact of English language use in the above Ministry and helps at finding out whether or not there is a competence and performance of English language use within this Ministry.
Twenty five informants participate in completing the questionnaires reflecting their motivational interest. The findings of this study showed that some of the informants improved their English skill by attending some evening classes in English language Centers. We also observed that the Ministry was setting up williams Academy to teach some of the Ministry's workers and officials from other Ministry and civil servants.
