This study seeks to investigate the contribution of hotels to the use of English in Burundi. People working in hotels are interested in English despite their level of studies.
Their determination and courage to improve the English language have a great influence on the use of English in Burundi in general and in Bujumbura city in particular.
Thanks to the findings got from the managers and employees of different Hotels surveyed, the English language is concidered as having great importance.
Both managers and employees agreed on the ncessity of learning and improving the English language, for the professional success on the one hand, and the integration of Burundi in the East African Community and the rest of the world of commerce on the other hand, where the English language is most of the time used.
