This work sets out to examine the political ambition of Lejoka Brown and the revolutionary consciousness that leads to positve changes in his wives as seen in Ola Rotimi's Our Husband has Gone Mad Again. In this light, our study explores the failure of the protanist's military approach and pseudo marriages as a means of achieving political office. It shows how the very woman he marries for political interest, Sikira, becomes his opponent at the elections. This study anchors on the premise that greedy interest and poor political stratagems in Our Husband has Gone Mad Again, bring about the empowerment of women. Lejoka Brown's failure, leads to the economic and political emancipation of his wives. Written against the background of the New Historicism Theory, this work highlights the immediate post independence pseudo political atmosphere in Nigeria as captured in the play under study
