This work sets out to examine Rebellion as seen in The Heroic Slave by Frederick Douglass. Our study traces how slaves behaved in front of the sufferings that were directed to them. Slaves manifested great courage in the attempt to have freedom. This work goes ahead by showing that blacks were able to achieve admirable activities including the way they think, feel, hence acting intellignetly in escaping centered on psychoanalytic and psychological approach, the work is thus constructed on the hypothesis that if a person is denied his rights in society, rebellion can be a possible way out. Our analysis shows how the protagonist rises above the limitations of slavery and achieves freedom not only for himself but also for others.
