This work attempts to show the aspects of gender are portrayed in Mbella some Dipoko's "Because of women".It also attempts to show Dipoko's view on male and famale gender.It intends to stimulate reader's
consiousness especially that of women towards the situatuion in which they are treated by their husbands in society during the post colonial period.In that situation,women are taken with granted ,they are beaten,they are like toys in the hands of their husbands,the wold ecluded them and Dipoko in this work "Because of women" wanted to highlight the selfishness of men and to promote change in the society for the betterment of families.Mbella sonne Dipoko's way of portraying male gender and the female one in his novel is a reflection of Dipoko's call for men and women espacially to women to tsand up and fight for their rights in societies
