Results indicate that the use of adverserb-verb collocations is problematic for Third year students from the department of English language and literature at the university of Burundi.This finding supports previous studies,which mainly focused on verb-noun collocations,and which reached conclusion that EFL students are not sensitive to collocation in their written productions (cf,Nesselhaut 2005);which is extended hare to adverb-verb collocations. Furthermore,the study reveals that third year students form the Departement of English Language and literature are not familiar with collocations.Some recommendations in ordre to improve the use of adverb-verb collocations among EFL users are proposed ER -
