RESUME, The present work sets out to examine the theme of devotion in Francis Selormey's the narrawow puth.It investigates the need for workers to commit themselves to their professions.This is done through the exploration of Nani's devotion to his profession in the novel under study.it also attempts to highlight different challenges to his devotion,and the consequences of his devotion as well.Written against the background of psychoanalytical approach,this writer situates the analysis of the novel within the context of post-colonial period of Ghana by means of the attitudes most people expressed towards their work.Basing our arguments on Selormey's the narrow path,this work is written based on the hypothesis that devotion requires to put puplic interests above the personal ones.
