<br/><br/> RESUME,<br/><br/>The study deals with the lack of up-to-date English teaching materials:Hindrance to successful achievement .The study was mainly aimed at investigating the impact of the lack of modern higher education English teaching materials and how it affects the rate of success as far as students are concerned.<br/>Thus,for better and reliable questionnaires were used as the best instuments for collecting the data.<br/>Therefore,after the data were collect ,we realized we realized that up-to-date English teaching materials are not available.Computers and other modern English teaching materials are not sufficiently used by students from English Language and Literature Department.Therefore ,English teaching materials are to be improved,because it constitutes a hindrance to students' achievement.
