<br/><br/> RESUME,<br/><br/>This work deals with the listening challenges encountered by people who watch English movies in American spaces in Bujumbura city.It looks into   different solutions which may help to handle those challenges.This study aims at investigating why people who watch English movies in Bujumbura American Spaces encounter listening challenges.A questionnaire,unstructured interview and an observation were used as instruments to carry out this study and get reliable findings.The findings revealed that the listening challenges found are due to the speed of actors,the accent,some dialects and some idioms used in the movies.
