RESUME,

This study sets out to find out the pronunciation problems encountered by Burundi English learners in general and Bujumbura city learners in sixth form in particular.The data from English teachers' questionnaire and oral test for sixth form pupils were designed to seek information about English mispronunciation .The researcher also used classroom observation to see the reality in sixth form classes when teaching/learning English lesson.Through this research it was found out that the lack of appropriate method ,sufficient teaching materials,time and interference from other languages have negative impact on English pronunciation on the part of sixth form learners.A general conclusion and some recommendations were drawn and formulated by the researcher.
