  <abstract>with my research topic "An investigation on the performance of secondary school pupils in writing skills : the case of some first form arts section in Bujumbura Mayor ship",the teacher should organize an oral preparation where pupils can interact among themselves but this oral preparation where pupils can interact among themselves but this oral preparation should be related to the subject they want to write on.
As research methodology,I have used questionnaires for teachers and pupils,but also test composition has been used to collect data.After data analysis,I have found out most informant pupils acknowledge that through interactive,they get more interest and enjoyment.

Nevertheless,it has been revealed that is poor performance in writing skill due to the lack of approppriate teaching material,time constraint and lack of pupils' motivation.Thus,Enlish teachers are recommended to use différent methods or techniques to make the learners active participants in class.They should know what kind of activity that stimulates pupils' interest and leads to communication in a class.</abstract>
