In an attempt to gather information from the research field,questionnaires for teachers and for pupils were used as research instruments.In an attempt to complement data from questionnaires,classroom observations were made to get relizbr znd direct information.The two kinds of instruments led the researcher to conclude that negative attitudes,that lack of appropriate materials and the use of inadequate teaching methods are the main factors which negatively affect many pupils' improvement of the English oral skill.Some recommendations were directed to program designers,teachers,pupils and future researcher ER -
