N2 - Résumé, This work on "Evaluating Classroom Interaction in Enhancing the Speaking Skill " sought to investigae the effect of classroom interaction in developing junior and Senior students' speaking skill. In addition, it set out to know whether classroom interaction should be the appropriate technique to activate sudents' speaking abilities. In my study, I was guided by three questions that were answered all along my research : 1. Does classroom interaction provide an opportunity for learners to develop their speaking skill? 2. What is the role of classroom interaction in language teaching methodology? 3. Does classroom interaction have any impact on the development of learners' speaking skill? To find answers to those questions, Oral expression lecturers and students of Junior and Senior levels were distribued copies of questionnaire using a simple random sampling technique for students. The students and Oral Expression lecturers' answers made me conclude that classroom interaction is an appropriate strategy to enhance the speaking skill. I ended ths work by formulating some recommendations with regard to the research findings obtained through students' and lecturers' questionnaires as well as through students' interview. ER -
