Complicité coloniale KW - Mémoire N2 - Résumé, This work examines colonial complicity the colonization of Africa as reflected in Ferdinand Oyono's The Old Man and the Medal and Houseboy. It focuses on how the colonial masters, missionaries, and European business people conspired with Africans in their process of colonizing Africa. Furthermore, it exposes how ever since the coming of the European administrators, Africans welcomed them, accommodated them by aiding them with lands, mineral resources, and markets for their goods. This work therefore pictures how, the colonizers, after they had collaborated with some natives, exercised their power over Africans. This work is written against the hypothesis that in Oyono's works the colonial regents, missionaries, and European business-men colluded with some natives for their own interests and their so-called civilization broughts to Africans. Furthermore, Africans themselves permited the colonization of their continent to a great extent ER -
