Résumé,

The aim of this study is to chow the role of English language in facilitating the task of business operators in Burundi, focusing on some Banks in Bujumbura.

In fact, human beings always need to communicate. In different communities, different languages are respectively used for communication. Likewise, business area always obliges people to communicate among themselves.

Nowadays, this area is globally and linguistically dominated by English. In Burundi, business is done, the use of English is notiveable. On one hand, Burundi is a francophone country. On the other hand, there is a remarkable use of English even in Bujumbura. This implies that business operators in Burundi are supposed to be skilled in English to accomplish well their goals, if not they can fail. To know how contributing is English for business operators in Bujumbura; I samplaed for Banks, namely : CRDB, BGF, KCB, and BNDE. To collect data. I used questionnaire. According to the results from the study, the role of English in Business area is crucial : it help them thrive. Otherwise, it facilitates communication with their different customers and partners,especially those who use English.
