William Shakespeare, in his play Othello, shares with us the painful and tragic experience of the character Othello, due to evil plan prepared and fulfilled by the antagonist lago. His great envy and jealousy are the two forces that propel the story forward. His lack of control of his psyche engenders the trauma to Othello's mind leading to his suicide as well as the death of innocent characters. Moreover, this study examines the way characters behave and how they are motivated either by evil or good. Using Psychoanalysis Approach, this study examines emotions and desires of mankind which most of the time are in control and uses several forces to control the characters leading to their destruction. This work is based on the hypothesis that in the play good and evil come in conflict and the denouement suggests that good and evil are integral to human existence ER -
