This work is built on five main pillars.

The first is the background of the study which is about how Burundian government had setup the English program in primary schools since 2006. The government attached the great importance to the study of English even though some teaching constraints caused poor oral performance of English. The above issues underlined the need of this study.

Second pillar of this work is the purpose to the study. The purpose was to evaluate oral performance and provide to the government teachers teachers and learners of primary school with important information and opinions on theoretical and practical of learning and teaching English, focusing on oral performance.

The third one is the methodology used during the research. In collecting data, the methodology used is teachers, questionnaire, pupils' questionnaire and interview. The fourth pillar of this work is the results.

Thanks to the methodology used, I got the following results that English oral performance is not well achieved due to the lack of materials, and untraine teachers. Finally, this work is built on the recommendations addressed to the competent institutions.
